A strategic goal of the Latina Initiative (LI) is to be recognized as the resource for information, support, and education on getting involved in issues impacting the Latina community. This year, we are expanding our programming to include a Research and Analysis component where we will gather, compile, analyze and disseminate data on Latina Political Participation in Colorado.

Our 2006 efforts resulted in considerable progress toward positioning the organization as the region's lead promoter for Latina civic and political participation. Adding this Research & Analysis component will enable us to both document and analyze these shifts in political participation and contribute to the current lack of Colorado specific data related to Latina civic participation. The first white paper is scheduled for a fall 2007 release.
