Background
This year Latina Initiative will aim to register 5,000 new Colorado voters and target more than 45,000 Latinas with a strong campaign that will include a combination of mailings, door knocks, and phone calls designed to inform and encourage electoral participation among Latinas. Canvassers will be needed throughout this campaign (June 16 - November 4) to register voters and provide other general outreach.
Responsibilites will include but are not limited to:
- Registering new Colorado voters through door-to-door canvassing and at site-based events and locations.
- Distribute "I'm Latina and I Vote" yard signs.
- Work with coalition partners on collaborative events.
- Help with volunteer recuitment and management.
Additional Qualificiations:
- Bilingual preferred but not required.
- Ability to travel locally; and have reliable transportation.
- Ability to work effectively and able to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to learn, show initiative and creativity.
- Previous experience in grassroots/political organizing.
