Advocacy Training Modules

1. Topic(s): How to advocate on issues important to you at the state level
   Goal: To have an understanding of the Colorado State Government, and how to be an active constituent.
   Objective: Participants will be better prepared to engage their legislators at the state level of government.
2. Topic(s): The importance of our vote
   Goal: To engage women in the political process, and provide election related information.
   Objective: Participants will be more effective organizers in their community and more engaged in the political process.
3. Topic(s): Public Speaking
   Goal: To give tools, skills and practice on how to improve public speaking skills
   Objective: Participants will feel more comfortable with their public speaking skills
4. Topic(s): The importance of volunteering and how to get involved in the civic process
   Goal: To provide resources, tools and options for women to be involved in the civic process
   Objective: Participants will be more effective organizers in their community and more engaged in the political process.
5. Topic(s): Citizenship Classes
   Goal: To provide a basic understanding of the United States Government geared toward preparing eligible residents for the USCIS citizenship test.
   Objective: To help Latinas and their families become citizens, in order to be more effective organizers in their community and more engaged in the political process.
