Colorado Latina/os Unite for Dialogue, Action and Impact

Denver, CO - Hundreds of Latina/os will descend on Denver March 14 and 15 for the 4th Annual Colorado Latina/o Advocacy Day, one of the largest advocacy days in the nation. The two-day event includes briefings on current policies affecting the Latina/o community and a day of legislative meetings.

Last year, for the third Colorado Latina/o Advocacy Day, more than 200 Colorado Latina/os spoke to their state representatives on the issues they found most important.

Latina/o Advocacy Day is convened by the Latina Initiative, Colorado Organization for Latina Opportunity and Reproductive Rights (COLOR) and the Colorado Immigrant Rights Coalition (CIRC). The presenting sponsor for the 2010 Latina/ o Advocacy Day (LAD) is the Gay & Lesbian Fund for Colorado. LAD is also made possible through the generous support of Entravision and the Sheraton Denver Hotel. Other supporting organizations include Colorado Conservation Voters Education, Latin American Research, Mi Familia Vota & Service Agency and Progress Now.

WHAT: Hundreds of Latinas/os from around the state will gather to discuss and impact education, immigration, healthcare, civil rights and economic justice policy.
